Hello and Welcome to Falmouth Light and Life. We are a friendly, faith-filled family of Jesus believers who meet to worship, read the Bible, pray for one another and to love and engage with our local community of Falmouth and Penryn. If you are new to Falmouth Light and Life, the area, or just exploring faith; we would love to get to know you and welcome you to find out more about who we are, our journey so far and how you can get involved

OUR STORY

Falmouth Light and Life Church was planted in 2013 as a part of a growing network of Light and Life Churches across Cornwall. We serve as a part of the Free Methodist movement. Our church was founded by Chris and Danutia Banwell, based upon the key foundation values; Healing, creativity, discipleship, prophecy, justice, hospitality, family, celebration, freedom, mission, generosity and His presence.

Since then, our church has grown and reshaped, with Alex Yarlett becoming the senior pastor in January 2022. Over the COVID season, we met online, but since have reformed our Sunday gatherings in our lovely, friendly barn overlooking Falmouth.

With a high value on serving our community, we launched our standalone charity; 'Love Falmouth' in 2019.  We partner with churches and other organisations to support a variety of needs within our community.

VISION

Our Vision is to 'Wholeheartedly follow God to bring the life of Jesus to Falmouth and beyond.'

We want to be a church that is powered by his presence, that prioritises people, cultivates community and is missionally mobilised... a church where everyone, everyday, everywhere brings the life of Jesus to Falmouth and beyond.

We believe everyone has unique value and worth. We want to be a community that welcomes and cares for the individual, a community that is creative and missional, courageous and compassionate - seeking to give our best to see Gods kingdom come in the spiritual, physical and social landscape of Falmouth and beyond.
